Spontaneity
Why isn’t there more of it in this world? Go out and dance in a field to that song that’s stuck in your head. Actually stop and smell the flowers that you walk past every day. Chase a squirrel. Say hello to a stranger. Not everything in life should go as planned; doing things completely spontaneously can lead to some of the best, most memorable times of your life.

Sometimes
Sometimes, when I’m looking up into the sky, I forget who I am. Not just in a figurative sense. Sometimes, when I’m lying in a field, looking at the stars, my mind just goes blank. And then I’m not a college student. I’m not a nerd. I’m not a nervous wreck, or a music major, or an athlete. I’m not anything. Sometimes, briefly, I simply cease to be.

The mind is a treacherous place. If you don’t consider why you’re thinking about whatever it is that you’re thinking about, then it can take you down dangerous roads. Remember that in the end, you’re in control of your own thoughts; with a little willpower, you can choose to think about better, happier things.

On Love
It’s overrated. If you can be in love with someone and still not want to be with them, then what’s the point of it?
Just emo thinking a bit.
Do you ever just kind of wish you were dead? It’s not feeling suicidal, per se. It’s more of a wish that something entirely beyond your control would happen, and as a result of this tragic accident, you end up dead. That’s kind of how I feel right now. I wish that I could have the opportunity to heroically die saving a child from getting hit by a runaway truck or something....

One of those moments.
I just had one of those moments when I looked at a word that I had typed, and it looked completely wrong to me. The word? Best. Just look at it for a second—doesn’t it look kind of weird? If you kind of un-focus your eyes and don’t think about it too much.
